Getting Back to Work After Redundancy Print E-mail

Has the credit crunch affected you? We hear every day that the country is going into recession and unemployment is rising.  The chance of being made redundant is increasing every day. Have you ever asked yourself, what if it happens to me? What will I do? How will I cope?

Being made redundant is probably one of the most traumatic events that can happen to you. The questions that go through your head in the instant that you are told that your services are no longer required; what am I going to do now? How will I tell my family? How will I pay the mortgage? How will we be able to eat? All of these questions and many more are racing through your mind and of course there are no immediate answers.

Once it sinks in that you are not going to work tomorrow you start to feel all of the following emotions; anger, lack of self-confidence, lack of self-worth. All of these emotions are natural; however, the more that you dwell on them the more depressed you will become as you actually start to believe it. So it is vital that you do something about it.

Over the past few weeks we at Keystar Training have been giving this situation a lot of thought. It is obvious that there are not that many job opportunities out there; after all if your company has ceased trading, many others are likely to have done so as well. What is going to make it even harder is, if you do not have the relevant skills required to get you back into the workplace.

So Keystar has developed several options to assist you.

Option 1. A one day 1-1 course to get you started. This course is not pre-designed; once you have decided that you want to attend our consultant will speak to you on the telephone at length. Together you will design your own course, based on the type of job that you want to apply for.

For example this is what could be covered on the day:-
Confidence Building
Interview Skills
Telephone Technique
Customer Care

The cost of this option is £250.00+VAT for the day.

Option 2. Join a small group of 6 people on one of our scheduled courses. Keystar offers several scheduled courses each month on the following subjects:-

Minute Taking
Speedwriting
Customer Care
Telephone Technique

The cost of this option is £175.00+VAT per delegate.

Option 3. A full day on a 1-1 basis on many of the other courses that Keystar offer.

The cost of this option is from £250.00+VAT.
