'I think I need a course in Management Skills' was the desperate cry from a Manager from a local company. When asked why he thought this he sighed took a deep breath and related the following:- 'I expect a lot from my staff' he began, 'I work hard at being friendly toward them and to treat them fairly. But I get the feeling that there is no loyalty from them'. Bobbie then asked why he had these feelings, he told her that he thought 'If he was to be home off sick one day, they would spend most of their time talking at the water cooler or in the rest-room'.

'I need someone to train me in the art of good Management to enable me to train them to be independant and responsible members of staff'.Of course we can help you Bobbie told him and duely booked him on a 1-1 Management Skills course. During my day with him he asked me to give him a few tips on interviewing. I asked him why, his reply was ' If all else fails I will be looking to interview new staff that can be independant and responsible'.
