Course Objectives :
To demonstrate some of the more advanced tools available in Project to enable delegates to produce more detailed plans and allow fine control over the time
and costs associated with the Project. to show by means of examples and exercises how these additional skills give the user greater control and flexibility in managing Projects.
Who should Attend :
The course is designed for users responsible for managing Projects that have had some
experience in using Project ’98. Users who are interested in enhancing their usage of the application. Ideally delegates will have to have attended the ‘Project ’98 Introductory course.
Objectives :
Upon completion of the course delegates will have learnt how Project tasks can be adjusted for
driving by duration, work or resource usage. Adjustment of payment rates during a Project progress including overtime. Understanding of the Optimistic, Expected and Pessimistic Pert Chart Analysis.
Comparison of the actual project against alternative version of the plan.
Adjusting projects to allow for breaks in a task and for ‘loading’ the amount of work to be completed at different stages during individual task’s progress. Working with more than one project at a time. Customising the standard reports produced by Project.
