Course Aims: Dreamweaver automates the process of creating cascading style sheets, Dynamic HTML and Java Scripts. It allows the creation and animation of layers which, together with image swapping and Shockwave controls, provide the ideal tool for professional web page design. Participants will explore and understand the many available features which assist in the design and creation of a web site.

Target Audience: Intending, new or less-experienced users of Illustrator who wish to gain a good understanding of the software in a short space of time.

Assumed Knowledge: A good understanding of the Apple MAC or PC interface gained either from experience in the workplace or from attendance on an 'AppleMac System Introduction' course or a 'Windows User Introduction' course.

  Site Management

Site Structure and Navigation Overview, Creating Local Site; Relative and Absolute paths, Creating Links between Documents, Using Named Anchors for Navigation, Checking In and Checking Out Files, Using the Site Window; Setting Site FTP preferences

  Roundtrip HTML

Rountrip HTML Editing, Using HTML Source Format Controls, Editing the Source Formatting, Profile, Using the HTML Inspector, Using BBEdit with Dreamweaver (Mac), Choosing Script Properties

  Formatting Text, Tables and Forms

Formatting Text Overview; Tables; Forms, Using Images, Movies, Controls, Applets and Plugins, Shockwave, ActiveX, Java and Netscapte plugins Overview

  Using Frames

Creating Frames and Nested Frames, Selecting a Frame or a Frameset, changing the Background Colour of a Frame, Saving Files in Frames and Framesets, Specifying the size of a Frame, conrolling Frame Content with Links, Choosing Frame and Fraeset Properties
